Accessibility in Lentes

VoiceOver

Lentes uses native SwiftUI controls, concise localized labels, headings, and logical groups. Prescription cards provide a spoken summary of the issue date and values for both eyes, with additional prescription details available to VoiceOver.

Important changes, including recognition results, saved eye exams, and completed deletions, are announced when needed.

Larger Text and Dynamic Type

Text follows your iPhone Dynamic Type setting. Key screens, forms, and prescription layouts adapt at accessibility text sizes, while long content remains scrollable.

Voice Control and Switch Control

Core actions use labeled buttons, menus, toggles, and form controls so they can be identified by name and reached through system scanning. Icon-only actions include descriptive accessibility labels.

Motion, appearance, and contrast

Lentes follows Reduce Motion for onboarding, expandable content, prescription browsing, and the paper-tear deletion effect. It supports Light and Dark appearances, uses adaptive colors, and strengthens prescription-card edges when Increase Contrast is enabled.

Color is supported by text, symbols, or status messages rather than being the only way information is conveyed.

Flexible input and feedback

Prescription documents can be added with the camera, Photo Library, or Files. Recognized values are shown in editable fields so you can review and correct them before saving.

Progress and success states appear visually and are also announced to assistive technologies where needed. Haptics supplement rather than replace visual or spoken feedback.

Languages

Visible text and dedicated accessibility labels are localized in English, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, French, and German.
